Are you looking for a new scooter or walking stick?
Do you have a wheelchair or walker that you’d like to donate?
If you answered yes to either of these questions, the Equipment Exchange Program is just what you are looking for. This program connects people with Parkinson’s who are in need of an adaptive device with community members who have donated such a device.
How do I know if I’m eligible to receive an assistive device? If you have Parkinson’s, you are eligible.
Is there a cost? No.
What next? If you are looking for a piece of equipment or have one to donate, contact Jaclyn Shirakata at 858-273-6763 or email at jshirakata@ParkinsonsAssociation.org.
It’s that easy? Yes, it’s that easy. All we ask is that you do not sell any of the equipment you receive from this program.
