On April 12, 2014, the Parkinson’s Association of San Diego will host their 12th annual Fighting Parkinson’s Step by Step 5K dog friendly walk/run event! This event is in honor of the 60,000+ people in our community who are affected by Parkinson’s disease, be it caregiver, patient, or family member.
More than just a walk…. Over the past few years, this event has become much more than just a walk, it has turned into a day that stands for exactly what we strive to conquer as an organization every day; to improve the quality of life for those affected by Parkinson’s through education, family services and support vital research in the battle to conquer Parkinson’s disease forever.
Our Medical Expo and a Health and Fitness Pavilion brings together in one place, some of the greatest minds, services and resources that are available to help people with Parkinson's thrive. This event not only brings the Parkinson's community together to walk for the same cause, but it is a day to share their experiences, to learn, to educate and raise awareness.
