A long-time San Diegan, Dr. Rick Brydges is a retired Naval Aviator and board member of the Parkinson’s Association of San Diego. A superb athlete who lettered in four sports, Rick graduated from the Naval Academy in Annapolis, where he played quarterback behind the legendary Roger Staubach.
Rick joined the military and fought for our freedom. He attended the Top Gun program at Miramar and flew the F-14 Tomcat in Vietnam. He received his Ph.D. from University of San Diego in Education with a focus on Leadership, his thesis. He was an instructor at the USD School of Business.
Rick, who has Parkinson’s disease, wants to continue to make a difference and contribute by serving on the board of the PASD. He is proud to serve alongside his son, Brooks. As Rick says, “My family is my support and they keep me moving forward in life.”
